The unique feature offered in the Opposing Viewpoints database is the "Viewpoints" articles. These are articles that are taking a side in an argument and providing a certain point of view. Generally, the database tries to provide viewpoint articles from the different sides of an issue. The viewpoint articles could help you think through the arguments you want to make in your essay.
This database will also give you links to magazine and journal articles, but it is hard to do a specific search. I think the databases provided on the "Find Articles" page are better for searching for articles.
