Laptop Loan Information
After you have submitted the form, you will be notified by the library via e-mail about your eligibility and the status of your laptop request. The e-mail will contain instructions on when and where you will pick up the equipment. If you continue to be enrolled for the following academic semester, you may use the equipment until you are no longer registered as a student. When you are no longer enrolled in classes, you must return ALL equipment.
- You may request to borrow a laptop only at this time.
- Currently, no hotspots are available.
Please Note: Students may ONLY borrow a laptop on​ or after the start date of their classes. If you are enrolled but your classes haven’t started, you must wait until the start date to request a laptop.*

*Starting August 2, 2021, the student computer lab will be open with limited seating available. Please drop in to the computer lab if you need to use a desktop computer and printer.
Laptop Loan Eligibility Criteria
- Students must be enrolled in the current semester at Cerritos College.
- Students must have at least a 1.0 cumulative GPA. This does not apply to non-credit/Adult Education or first-time incoming students.
Important Information
- Students will be communicated with via the email listed on the form. Please check your email regularly.
- If eligible, students will be expected to electronically agree to the Laptop Rental Agreement in order to receive a laptop. Please do not reapply if you currently have a laptop and/or hotspot from a previous semester.
The main terms of the agreement are listed below:
- Student accepts full responsibility for the equipment and accessories they are borrowing.
- Student will reimburse the Cerritos Community College District (CCCD) for the cost of repairing or replacing this equipment, and/or accessories if they are damaged, lost, stolen, or not returned while checked out in student’s name.
- Student will pay all overdue fines if they fail to return this equipment by the date communicated by the library. Student understands that the replacement cost for this equipment will be no more than $714.09. Student also understands that all charges for violations of these policies will result in outstanding fees, which will prevent student from registering for classes and/or graduating until they are paid in full.
- Laptops will not be accepted if this asset tag is removed.
- Student understands that their abuse of the equipment loan privileges may also result in disciplinary action and the inability to borrow equipment in the future and that failure to return the equipment within the allotted time will be considered theft of CCCD property.
