REQUEST LIBRARY INSTRUCTION SESSION, VIDEOS, OR A CUSTOM RESEARCH GUIDE
Here are your options:
- Your class can come to our computer classroom in the library or we can go to your classroom. The librarian will help your students use resources selected to help students complete your research assignment.
- We can create a research guide, which is a web page, featuring our online resources selected to support the research required for your class. We can also create video tutorials on how to use the resources which will be embedded in the guide. We will send you links to all materials that you can post so your students can view the tutorial at any time. It will also be posted on the library web site.
- If you teach a synchronous online class, we can Zoom with your class during your regularly scheduled class time.
To schedule an in-person or Zoom library instruction session for your class, please use this form.
To request a custom research guide or videos without an instruction session, please use this form.
Please note:
- Requests need to be made at least three weeks in advance. If the time you want is unavailable, or if you need to schedule a session less than three weeks in advance, please contact Stephanie Rosenblatt at ext. 2416 or srosenblatt@cerritos.edu.
- We request that you be present during the orientation so that you can help connect the session to your class curriculum.
- Library instruction sessions are more effective if students are working on a specific research assignment for your class and if they have a deadline that requires them to complete some research shortly after the session.

You will receive an email confirmation immediately after submitting your request. The librarian assigned to teach your class will also email you within a week, confirming your session time/date and to get more information about your class and your research assignment. Eight days prior to your class, you will receive an auto-reminder that will confirm the location of the session.
