Understanding Call Numbers

Did you know that the library books at Cerritos College Library are cataloged according to the Library of Congress Classification system? At high school, you used the Dewey decimal system. Once you learn the Library of Congress system, you will be able to located books in university libraries throughout the United States.

Book Parts

Many students are not yet familiar with very basic boook parts. Please view this video for more clarification.

Academic Search Premier

Knowing how to use a database may be a bit tricky. It's important that you try different keywords and/or terms related to your topic when searching for articles.

Tip: Start your search with a broad keyword and/or term and narrow it down with the word "AND" as needed.
