The Crisis Assessment Intervention and Response (CAIR) Team is a multidisciplinary partnership which contributes to the health and safety of the campus. The team consists of Cerritos College faculty and administrators that evaluate and assess distressing and disturbing behaviors exhibited by students, coordinate and develop a centralized response to provide assistance and intervention for students of concern, and evaluate and monitor the ongoing related issue(s).

Any time a campus employee, student, or community member has a concern about a student, they are encouraged to submit a CAIR Report via the online form.  For tips on writing a report, please review this guide.

Falcon Safe Program

The Falcon Safe program is part of the campus primary violence prevention effort, it includes programming, trainings, and education on the prevention of sexual assault and focuses on the importance of affirmative consent when engaging in sexual activity. The overall aim of the program is to foster personal responsibility, raise awareness and engage bystanders around ending violence, discrimination, harassment and bullying.

The program offers an online flyer that provides numerous hotlines that may be of assistance to students facing stalking, bullying, verbal or written threads, cyberbullying, dating or domestic violence, or sexual or physical assault.

Safety Escort Service

The Cerritos College Police Department is committed to ensuring a safe environment for all students, employees and visitors to the college.  The Safety Escort service was initiated to promote and encourage personal safety.  We provide safety escorts twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for any member of the campus community who has concerns for their personal safety.

This service provides escorts anywhere on campus, including parking lots. The program is staffed by our Cadets and Police Officers.  Calls for an escort are dispatched immediately; however, if you experience a delay in a response time, it may be due to a high volume of calls for service.
