Major Responsabilities:
Dear LIBR 100 Students,
The course content for LIBR 100 will be available for you on TelonNet on Monday, January 14, 2013. I will visit your COUN and ENGL classes and explain how LIBR 100 works. My first meeting with you will be on Thursday, January 24, 2013 and your first assignment is due on January 31. In other words, you will have plenty of time to complete your assignment after our first meeting on January 24.
Most of your work for this course requires that you visit a library to locate and use specific print reference resources. A portion of your work will take place via the Internet and World Wide Web. All assignment worksheets, quizzes, and the final project must be turned in at the Library Circulation Desk.
The Library 100 Workbook is required for this course and available for you to download from the TalonNet server. The workbook includes the lesson readings, lab assignments, quizzes, and supplemental information. You will receive further instructions for accessing the Workbook at the time of your orientation (January 24).
Important information concerning the course will be posted as announcements on the TalonNet site and sent to all students as an email message. If you don’t have an email account, visit the Library Computer Lab for information on creating an account. Because communication with students often takes place via email, it is extremely important to have your current email account information on file with the College. Your email account information should be current in both TalonNet and MyCerritos. You will receive more information at the time of your orientation.
