This workshop will guide you through the steps of searching the library catalog to find a book. Included will be a demonstration of what information is contained in an item record, use of limiters to narrow down search results for quantity and/or assignment requirement, and other useful functions. You will receive an overview on how to navigate the library website, how to log into your library account, and how to renew items and check holds or fines.
These workshops are especially helpful to first time students as well as students who are working on an assignment or project that requires specific kinds of resources.
This free session lasts 30 minutes.

Attending this workshop, students will become familiar with magazine, journal, and newspaper databases available through the Cerritos College Library website. Students will be able to conduct searches, understand what information is in an item record, use limiters to reduce quantity and type of returns, and other useful functions.
