This is a partial list of resources available at Cerritos College. These are only for currently enrolled students unless otherwise noted with an asterisk (*).

Counseling

The Counseling Department is dedicated to assisting students in developing transitional skills to help them achieve success in their academic, career, and life goals in an inclusive environment that embraces the diversity of our students and community.

Appointments:

Students are encouraged to schedule a 30-minute counseling appointment to discuss their educational goal and develop a personalized education plan.

Counselors are available by major.

Stand By Counseling

Have a quick question for a counselor? Stand by Counseling is available for students who have a quick question regarding the current and/or upcoming semester.

Online Counseling

Students can submit a general counseling question online. A counselor will reply within three working days.

EOPS

The mission of Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOPS) at Cerritos College is to enhance the success of under-represented students in higher education, for these students experience language, social, economic and educational disadvantages. EOPS serves as an advocate for access, assists in the educational development of students, and empowers students to achieve their educational goals.

Library

Cables: Various cables are available for PC and MAC laptops at the Circulation Desk. The loan period is 3 hours, renewals are allowed until 15 minutes before closing time. Late fines are of $1.00 per hour. These MAY leave the library but are not available for overnight checkout.

Calculators: Graphing and scientific calculators are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk. The loan period is 3 hours, renewals are allowed until 15 minutes before closing time. Late fines are of $1.00 per hour. These MAY leave the library but are not available for overnight checkout.

Cellphone Charging Stations*: A free charging station is located inside the library, across from the Circulation Desk. Equipped with both Micro-USB (Android) and Apple (iPhone) cables.

Computers*: Computers and printing are available. If you are a CURRENT student, login is your student number and your 8-digit birthday. Non-students may also request to use a computer. More information: http://libraryguides.cerritos.edu/library_computers​

Databases and E-Resources: Library databases provide free online access to information from published works such as magazines, newspapers, scholarly journals, books, encyclopedias, and other resources. More information at http://libraryguides.cerritos.edu/databases​

Earphones*: Earphones are available for purchase at the Circulation Desk for $1

Earplugs*: Complimentary earplugs are available at the Circulation and Reference desks.

iPads: iPads with optional keyboards are available for checkout at the Circulation desk. The loan period is 3 hours, renewals are allowed until 15 minutes before closing time. Late fines are of $1.00 per hour. These MAY leave the library but are not available for overnight checkout.

Open Educational Resources (OER)*: "Open Educational Resources (OER) are any type of educational materials that are in the public domain or introduced with an open license. Anyone can legally and freely copy, use, adapt and re-share them. OER range from textbooks to curricula, syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, tests, projects, audio, video and animation. More information: http://libraryguides.cerritos.edu/oer

Rulers: Footlong rulers are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk. The loan period is 3 hours, renewals are allowed until 15 minutes before closing time. Late fines are of $1.00 per hour. These MAY leave the library but are not available for overnight checkout.

Study Rooms: Study rooms are available at a first-come-first-served basis inside the computer lab. They are for groups of at least 2 people. A current Cerritos College ID is required. More information: http://libraryguides.cerritos.edu/study_rooms

Textbooks: Reserve Textbooks are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk. Loan periods vary per book, and range from 1 hour to 2 days. All are on a first-come-first-served basis. Renewals are NOT allowed, but some books may be checked out multiple times a day. Late fines vary per book. With the exception of most Math books, these reserves MAY leave the library. Overnight checkouts depend on each books' assigned loan period. 

Whiteboard Dry Erase Markers: Marker sets with erasers and cleaning fluid are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk. The loan period is 3 hours, renewals are allowed until 15 minutes before closing time. Late fines are of $1.00 per hour. These MAY leave the library but are not available for overnight checkout.
